Overview
HAI being the major aviation
repair and manufacturing center in Greece, utilizes advanced technology and
equipment of utmost precision in carrying out its work and implementing customer
contracts.
The Physical Science Laboratory
it's capable to perform accurate,
precise and effective tests and analyses in support of HAI production
operations and subcontractor evaluation processes, as well as, a wide range of
customers including armed forces, industry, research centers, public
organizations, aviation and maritime companies.
Furthermore, the Physical
Science Lab has been suitably organized and operates in accordance with the
prototype requirements of the standard ÅËÏÔ ÅÍ ISO / IEC 17025,
the application of the Quality System that rules the Lab (ISO 9001:2000),
is under control within the framework of the system evaluation by BVQI.
The Physical Science Laboratory
also successfully participates in international programs of laboratory tests
performed by
Joap TSC, Aerospatiale, Snecma and General Electric.
These tests are conducted for the examination of hardness and strength of
materials, spectrometric analysis of thermo-sprays and spectroscopic analysis of
lubricants.

Its highly qualified technicians
perform more than 5000 tests and analyses per year utilizing state-of-the-art
prototype equipment which is calibrated and serviced by HAI's Precision Measuring
Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), an entity which uses standards traceable to the
National Standards. The PSL area covers 600 sq.m. and consists of two separate
Laboratories, the Chemistry Laboratory and the Metallography Laboratory each
