Overview
HAI being the major aviation
repair and manufacturing center in Greece, utilizes advanced
technology and equipment of utmost precision in carrying out
its work and implementing customer contracts.
The Physical Science
Laboratory commenced its operations in parallel with HAI’s
production activities and through all these years has been
demonstrating exceptional competence in providing accurate,
precise and safe performance of tests and analyses in support
of HAI production operations and subcontractor evaluation
processes as well as a wide range of customers (including
armed forces, industry, research centers, public
organizations, technical assistance, aviation and maritime
companies) in accordance with approved references and
documentation.

state-of-the-art prototype equipment which are calibrated and
serviced by HAI PME Laboratory an entity which uses standards
traceable to the National Standards. The PSL area covers 600
sq.m. and consists of two separate Laboratories, the Chemical
Laboratory and the Metal Laboratory each performing the

All tests are carried out in a
protected environment against extreme conditions such as heat,
dust, humidity and noise and all necessary equipment and
energy sources for the performance of the tests are available.
In addition, devices monitoring environmental conditions are
available, when it is so required for the performance of
tests.
The Laboratory’s Quality System
follows the requirements of the international standard
EN-45001 and is audited periodically by such internatiional
organizations and companies as Bureau Veritas International,
Aerospatiale, Boeing, Dasa, General Electric, NAMSA, etc.
The PSL participates successfully
in interlaboratory testing programs arranged by Joap TSC,
Aerospatiale, Snecma and General Electric, concerning Hardness
Testing, Tensile Testing. Aluminum Alloys Spectrometric
Analysis, Thermal Spray Metallographic Analysis and
Spectrometric Oil Analysis.
