HAI
being the major aviation repair and manufacturing center in Greece, uses high
technology and precision equipment to implement corresponding work load and
customer contracts.
Precision
Measuring and Test Equipment Calibration activity started at HAI in parallel
with production activity. Corresponding
Laboratory had to demonstrate all these years that it operates as competent, to
carry out specific calibration and/or tests.
To
that extent, PME Laboratory operates a calibration and measurement system that
ensure calibrations or test and supporting measurement performed, are traceable
to appropriate National Standards of Measurement so that, confidence is placed
in the Quality of Measurements carried out, at all levels of the tractability
chain.
Today
the PME Laboratory provides services to both HAI production and wide range of
customers including armed forces, industry, research centers, public
organizations, technical assistance companies, aviation and maritime companies.
Its highly
qualified technicians perform more than 18000 calibrations per year utilizing
state-of-the art prototype equipment which are calibrated at the USA Wyle
Laboratories, an entity which is certified by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology.
PME Laboratory
covers are of 559 sq.m. and consists of three areas:
Electronics, Physics and, Metrology.
A Mobile Team for on site calibration Services to Industry is also
available.
PME
Laboratory maintains and controls environmental factors, as necessary to ensure
calibration accuracy for all standards and Measuring and Test Equipment.
The installation where the tests are carried out is maintained and
protected against extreme conditions
such as heat, dust, humidity, noise and vibration disturbances and interference.
The
installation is having the essential equipment and necessary energy sources for
the tests. When required by the tests, these are
equipped with devices monitoring environmental conditions.
The
Laboratory’s Quality System is in compliance with and is accredited to the international standards
EN-45001. This Quality System is audited periodically by such
national and international organizations and companies as Hellenic Accreditation
Council, Bureau Veritas International, Boeing, Dasa, General Electric, NAMSA,
etc.
