Overview
HAI being the
major aviation repair and manufacturing center in Greece,
utilizes advanced technology and equipment of utmost precision
in carrying out its work and implementing customer contracts.
The Physical
Science Laboratory capability was developed in parallel with
HAI’s production activities and through all these years has
been demonstrating exceptional competence in providing
accurate, precise and effective performance of tests and
analyses in support of HAI production operations and
subcontractor evaluation processes as well as a wide range of
customers (including armed forces, industry, research centers,
public organizations, aviation and maritime companies) in
accordance with approved references and documentation.

Its highly qualified technicians perform more than 5000 tests and analyses per year utilizing state-of-the-art prototype equipment which is calibrated and serviced by HAI's Precision Measuring Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), an entity which uses standards traceable to the National Standards. The PSL area covers 600 sq.m. and consists of two separate Laboratories, the Chemistry Laboratory and the Metallography Laboratory each performing the following functions :
