The Aircraft Facilities cover a total service area of approximately 40,000 sq. m. and consist of:
  • The Low Bay Hangar is 18,000 sq.m. with an average clear height of 9 m. It can accommodate multiple position work to as many as 50 fighter aircraft at one time.
  • The High Bay Hangar of 9,000 sq.m. and an average clear height of 22 m. can provide multiple position, simultaneous support to up to 6 military transport or civil wide body aircraft.
  • The Ancillary Support Building and areas which house the paint and corrosion control facilities and the wash rack.

    The Aircraft Maintenance Facilities posses  extensive experience in servicing a wide range of military & civil fixed and rotary wing aircraft. They house a complete series of production shops suitably structured, networked and equipped to meet service requirements of all aircraft accessories,  components and avionics.

    Such services include depot level maintenance, major electromechanical, pneumatic and electronic systems, modification/upgrade programs on aircraft and avionics systems, structural reworks, aircraft painting and corrosion control.

    In addition the shops can undertake crash damage repair for a large number of aircraft types.

    With regard to Civil Aviation aircraft, HAI can provide technical support on A and B level checks and is presently in the process of increasing this capability to C and D checks.
