STINGER MISSILE

HAI is participating in a four country international Consortium for the manufacturing and Series Production of the Stinger Missile.

HAI’s participation has to do with the production of the Launch Tube and the Gripstock Assemblies. The program is currently running for the 10th consecutive year of successful production and HAI has completed deliveries of all Gripstock quantities while the Launch Tube production is approaching its finalization. To date over 3,500 Gripstocks and nearly 12,000 Launch Tubes have been delivered, and the program - at its present stage - will be completed by the end of year 2000.

The Production activities included very precise assembly and integration work, complex Functional and Final Tests and a series of Environmental Trials in compliance with the most stringent Military Standards dictated by the customer.

The future prospects show a high probability that the Program will continue with HAI’s participation at its highest entering the production line new work packages and new deliverables.

HAI’s work in the program has been internationally praised and acclaimed for its thoroughness and highest qualitative and quantitative standards achieved.

IRIS-T

Since 1997 HAI participates in a six Nations international Consortium for the Design and Development of the IRIS-T Missile. Currently the Program is in its full Development Phase and HAI’s tasks include the Design and Development of:

·        The Environmental Test Round Missile to be used for in flight Environmental Tests.

·        The Umbilical Cable which connects the IRIS-T Missile to various types of Launchers

·        The Dummy Air Training Missile (DATM) for use in the training of the user Military Personnel

Also HAI participates in the preparation and implementation of the Environmental, Captive and Separation Flight Trials on a consultation basis and in cooperation with all participating Nations and companies. The current Development Phase is programmed for completion in mid 2002 and at that time the Production Phase will follow.

Indicative quantities for 5,000 Umbilical Cables and 500 DATM’s are anticipated for Series Production scheduled to begin upon completion of the Development Phase and HAI will be by then, fully prepared and in full readiness to enter into the Mass Production Phase.

OTHER

In recent years HAI has participated intensively in the AIM-9L Sidewinder Missile modernization to P3 and P4 models and has assumed the task of the Field and Depot Level Maintenance of these missiles as a sole certified Industry capable of performing this task.

Also HAI has undertaken under contract with the German firm BGT the testing of the Juli Sidewinder missile and has completed successfully this task during 1999.

Furthermore, HAI has a small but important participation in the International multi Nation Consortium for the Development and Production of the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM), which is now running its fifth consecutive year with a prospective future of 10 more years.

HAI’s tasks include the production of the Master Control Unit, which is an important part of the Telemetry System and the development of the automatic Test Stations for the Transition Section Computer in cooperation with other industrial partners.
