The Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory ensures compliance of production equipment with a wide spectrum of electric, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical specifications in accordance with International Metrology Standards and is certified per ISO 17025.

In particular PMEL performs:

• Calibration & Repair of Measuring & Test Equipment and standards of Test Equipment
• Calibration & Repair of special tools, gauges and measuring devices

PMEL offers services to both HAI production centers and a wide range of customers including armed forces, industry, research centers, public organizations, technical assistance companies, aviation and maritime companies. Its highly qualified technicians perform more than 18.000 calibrations per year utilizing state-of-the art prototype equipment which are calibrated at the USA Bionetic Laboratories and has traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

PMEL operates three separate functions for Electronics, Physics and, Metrology. A Mobile Team for on site calibration services to customers is also available. The Laboratory maintains and controls environmental factors, as necessary to ensure calibration accuracy for all standards and Measuring and Test Equipment. All tests are carried out in an environment protected against extreme conditions such as heat, dust, humidity, noise and vibration disturbances and interference.
